New Freedwoman Project operates as a
community art collaborative that connects artists, activists and educators
with disenfranchised women, particularly women in conflict with the
law, to share community and struggle for social change. Through residencies,
collaborations, informal meetings and assistance from project advisors,
community members focus on utilizing the arts and creativity to explore
and address women's participation in freedom struggle. Individual
or multiple artists, activists or creative people might work on one
or several projects that serve to impact a few or many. |
